Yesterday was Bring Your "Kid" to Work Day at FD Hayes, and we had some pretty special visitors! 💙

Of course, we love having our employees’ kids stop by to see where Mom or Dad works… but this year, we had one little visitor who took “kid” to a whole new level. 😂

Meet Willow, our Controller, Amber's adorable baby goat! 🐐💕

She may not be ready to grab a tool belt just yet, but she definitely stole the show today!

We’re pretty sure Willow has already decided that FD Hayes is a great place to work. 😉⚡

Investing in Our Team. Building a Stronger Future.

Several members of our management team recently attended the NECA Michigan Conference in beautiful Traverse City, where they spent time learning, connecting, and bringing back valuable insights to better serve our employees and customers.

The conference featured presentations from construction industry thought leader, author, and speaker Nic Bittle, along with Stephanie Adamec, NECA Executive Director of Education, who shared updates on continuing education and training opportunities available through NECA.

Beyond the educational sessions, our team enjoyed networking with fellow NECA contractors from across Michigan, exchanging ideas and best practices, and strengthening relationships within our industry.

At FD Hayes, we believe that investing in our people is one of the best ways to continue delivering exceptional service to our customers and communities.

☀️ Extreme heat isn't just hard on people—it's hard on electrical systems too.

As air conditioners, fans, and other cooling equipment work harder, electrical demand increases significantly.

A few reminders:
🔌 Avoid overloading extension cords and power strips.
🔌 Make sure outdoor electrical equipment is protected from the elements.
🔌 If you notice flickering lights, warm outlets, burning odors, or frequently tripped breakers, don't ignore the warning signs.

Your electrical system should help keep you comfortable—not create additional risks.
