Last week, U.S. Senator Elissa Slotkin visited the new McKenzie Health System Replacement Hospital in Sandusky to see firsthand the progress being made on this transformational project. During the visit, project partners highlighted how the new facility will expand access to high-quality healthcare, support future growth and serve the community for generations to come.

A transformative investment in West Michigan healthcare is underway!

Corewell Health has announced plans for a new $1.34 billion patient tower at Butterworth Hospital, expanding critical care capacity, emergency services, and surgical capabilities in downtown Grand Rapids.

We are proud to be delivering this landmark project alongside our joint venture partner, Spesh Construction, and design partners Perkins&Will and DH Engineering (DHE). Designed to support growing patient needs while maintaining hospital operations throughout construction, the new tower will help strengthen healthcare access and capacity for communities across West Michigan.

For more than 20 years, we have partnered with Corewell Health to help shape healthcare in West Michigan. From helping develop the original Medical Mile to delivering transformational projects that expand access to care today, we continue to build spaces that serve patients, families, caregivers, and communities across West Michigan for generations to come.

Last week, the Allegan community celebrated the ribbon cutting of the new Allegan Elementary. This week, students officially walked through its doors for their first day of school.

For the first time, all of Allegan’s elementary students are beginning the school year together under one roof, uniting three schools into a single learning community built to support collaboration, safety and student achievement.

We’re proud to have partnered with TowerPinkster and Allegan Public Schools on this meaningful project, helping create a space where students, educators and families can learn, connect and thrive for years to come.

How do you help people care about a construction project?

That was one of the questions we explored while hosting the Associated General Contractors of America Chapter Communicators Summit at Michigan Central. While few projects will ever receive this level of attention, every building has a story worth telling. Marketers have the unique opportunity to uncover those stories, celebrate the people behind them and help others understand why the work matters.

Thank you to our AGC colleagues from across the country for joining us in Detroit and experiencing Michigan Central firsthand. It was an honor to share this incredible project and the lessons it offers for communicators throughout the AEC industry.
