❄️ 🐦 Do we qualify as snow birds?
In the wintertime Rocky Mountain Reclamation heads south. Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona become our working haunts. It can still be cold, but it is dry and sunny. This winter we will complete over 1,500 acres of revegetation work across this southern band of our geographical footprint 👣. Whenever someone asks; "where do you work?" I respond; "Montana to Mexico!"

🚜🚚A little clip of the Rocky Mountain Reclamation equipment fleet it takes to complete a $1M revegetation project in 6 weeks. 🌱 Actually we had already demobilized two tractors and two team members when I took this video.
Our team takes pride in being with knowledge and tools to accomplish large projects quickly.

From 11,000’ elevation ⛰️mines to front range lowlands…..🌾
Rocky Mountain Reclamation has already placed over 250 acres of hashtag hashtag seeding this fall. These projects are wetland banks to assist DOTs and other state agencies offset wetland takes for development and roadways.
Wetland seeding requires a lot of knowledge and experience. Why? 🌱Wetland seeds are not your normal seed. 🌱 Seed size! A common wetland species Torrey’s rush can have between 12,000,000 and 25,000,000 seeds per pound. If you plant the seed too deep, then it will never germinate. If you leave the tiny seed unprotected on the soil surface, then it will blow away.
Once again…the importance of mulching and crimping!

🏔️Back at again at 11,000’ elevation. Thankful that Rocky Mountain Reclamation gets to help clients on a recurring basis meet their erosion control, soil stabilization, and revegetation needs. Our fleet is meeting needs in at least 7 different states this fall.

☘ Mulch? Hay? Straw? Why?
Rocky Mountain Reclamation contracts with grower partners across the Great Plains and Mountain West to provide exceptionally resilient long-stemmed hay mulch, not short and brittle grain straw, up to10,000 tons per year.
🚚 10,000 tons ➡ 500 truckloads
Mulching protects the seed and soil from wind and water erosion while promoting germination and the creation of micro-climates for different species to thrive in. Rocky Mountain Reclamation also has our own fleet of trucks for freight services to our own projects and many other clients. All in the name of hashtag ecosystems and hashtag . 🌱
