Working with landscape designer Berman Rivera of , in collaboration with the Laredo Cultural District, the garden has been reimagined as a climate-responsive, low-maintenance landscape rooted in its historic context—using native planting, shade, and durable strategies suited for Laredo.

This effort is made possible in part through socially responsible grant funding, supporting a space that is both sustainable and accessible to the community.

Tabernilla comes together the way a good paella should - patiently, layer by layer.

From the table, you experience it as a composition. Ingredients finding their place with precision, just as the space around you does. Patterned concrete tile anchoring the floor with rhythm and history. A wood pallet ceiling bringing warmth and texture overhead. That vibrant red like the matador’s cloak, activating the entire room.
