This weeks crazy find…

A new client contacted us about her water lines being chewed in the attic by rodents or some sort of other mammal and that her ceiling was leaking water like a shower! Upon inspection, Norwegian rats have been chewing water lines all throughout her attic and everything else they could get ahold of as well. As we got up into the attic to solve this clients problem, we found easter eggs scattered throughout the entire attic! The rats were taking easter eggs from the clients storage area and bringing them up into the attic and chewing holes in the tops of each egg! We’ll update you once we catch the easter egg bandit!

The aftermath of our perimeter + scorpions treatmentšŸ¦‚

We came back for our free two week follow up UV inspection, and found all of these scorpions dead besides 1! Glad we could protect this family before these monsters could get inside their home!

Swipe to see the damage caused in this garage from multiple rats chewing through vents, boxes, ice chests, walls, and even getting into the engine bay of the red car pictured and chewing all the wires in it! Rats also secrete what is called ā€œsebumā€ and it is a very oily substance that is all over their hair. If you look closely you can see the sebum trails in this house and it shows you exactly how these rodents are moving throughout the home😳

Cool find out in the field!

This is a Palo Verde Beetle and some cool facts about it!

They begin life as grubs in the soil. The larvae then target the roots of dead and decaying Palo Verde trees, citrus trees and cottonwoods for nourishment. The larval stage can last up to three years. Later, large quarter-sized holes in the soil near the roots of a tree during the monsoons give a visual indication of the beetle’s emergence. They surface in the wet, early monsoon season to mate over a 30-day period. The monsoon season is mid-June through late September here in the Valley. June and July are prime-time for the Palo Verde beetle sightings. Death comes to the beetle soon after the mating ritual. They don’t eat as adults, relying instead on the nutrition that was stored up during their larval stage and then eventually die once they starve to death.
