Here is another form of simple bird control. Our commercial client MDL group called us about an office park building with a potentially dangerous pigeon problem. Here we had the risk of a customer slipping on bird droppings and the client's building is rented my a medical facility business. We had to get these birds to stopping laying droppings down on the ground, so a simple bird spike solution solved the problem.

Folks I have a pic by pic of a rodent inspection. We start with the site of the complaint. Here we see a bush and electrical box ground lead. Upon further inspection, we see a lot of rodent droppings, so we know there is activity. Finally, looking near the droppings I find the likely route of entry into the building: A hole between the building and the power hook up leads. It is absolutely crucial to first close the entry point of the rodents, then start eliminating them. Otherwise, the rats just keep marching in.

More Honeybees! Morning folks! That is a beehive wedged into the hollow of a fig tree. Fig trees are notorious for having tree hollows. these hollows will often invite bee swarms and next thing you know, you got a potentially dangerous beehive in your backyard tree. This part of the tree actually collapsed after a windstorm, exposing the beehive.

A good haul I'd say! 13 on this night. This was in June at our Henderson Hills client, before we switched products. We saw less than half of those numbers the next month. In any case, this is a good number of scorpions removed from this home that night.

More cockroaches. This one at the end of this glue trap is not a different species of roach from the others. The cockroaches wing pads have begun to fold up on themselves. That is by design. I have applied a product that alters the cockroach's exoskeletal development. This will prevent this cockroach from molting into a new life stage, effectively removing it from the population.

Good morning, folks. I have a really sad one to show you today. Back in January, I got a call from one of our bank clients that a dead owl is outside of the branch building. I thought it was a case of mistaken identity. I've never even seen an owl, dead or alive. Well, I get out there, and there is this beautiful creature. This is a great horned owl. These pictures were taken by the animal control crew that came and removed the animal after I had picked the animal up and taken it back to my office. Some very interesting things were explained to me about this creature like its ability to fly silently due the curve on the edge of its wing feathers. Wild animals like this are a treasure to protect in out concrete jungle.

Good morning, folks. I have something very educational today. During a follow up on a Domestic cockroach treatment, I caught a female German Cockroach with a hatching egg case. You can see a few things here. Notice how many cockroaches came out of this egg case. I count about 30. Also notice how they lack any color. This is an answer to the questions I get about "albino cockroaches". These are simply cockroaches that just shed their skin or were just born. They appear white because they lack any pigment when they molt or when they are born. Later on, color will develop.
