While are multifunctional, they’re not a . “Multivitamins are not a replacement for a well-balanced diet,” says McIntyre. “Research shows that most nutrients are best absorbed from foods. Researchers believe this is due to synergistic effects that occur when nutrients like vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants are consumed, digested, and metabolized from food sources.”
Our bodies have evolved to collect nutrients from whole foods. While we can get them from vitamins, too, it’s not nearly as effective as just, well, eating. “Digestion and absorption starts when we actually look at food,” says sports dietitian Leron Sarig, RD, nutrition specialist manager at Exos. From there, we chew, swallow, and soak up the nutrients we’ve just consumed.

China has repeatedly cracked down on and trading in the country, most recently in 2021. Since then, most people in China have had no way of buying bitcoin, , XRPXRP or any other .
However, Hong Kong, a special administrative region of China, has begun gradually opening up the bitcoin and crypto market to traders, creating an avenue that could allow money to flood in.
“Even a tiny percentage of Chinese investors finding a legal way [to invest in bitcoin] would be significant,” Acheson told Coindesk, adding bitcoin ETF approval in Hong Kong would be “huge.”

“Looks like Hong Kong is going to allow in-kind creations and redemptions for spot in [the second quarter of 2024],” Bloomberg Intelligence analyst Eric Balchunas posted to X, adding that unlike the Wall Street spot bitcoin ETFs that are cash creations only, “in-kind” could “help spark assets under management and volume in the fast-growing region.”
“This refers to the redemption mechanism, with ‘in kind’ offering greater operational simplicity as well as more efficient tax and cost implications,” Noelle Acheson, author of the Crypto is Macro Now newsletter, wrote in a note.
“While this detail alone is not enough to ensure strong inflows, it does imply a more open and agile approach to the potential market, which in turn could attract a broader range of participants. It also suggests that approval is getting close—this would be a very big deal,” Acheson wrote, adding, “Asian crypto exchange volumes are orders of magnitude greater than those from the U.S., according to data from The Block.”

It’s been more than a decade since we lost Steve Jobs, the mastermind behind some of the biggest technological innovations in history. He lost his battle with pancreatic cancer in 2011, and would have been 69 years old today.
Jobs’ outsized influence as Apple’s leader left a lasting impression on managers and employees alike. But one of his most unwavering beliefs might surprise leaders who aspire to success as great as the Apple cofounder.
When Jobs and Apple’s other cofounders, including Steve Wozniak, first realized how big their company would be, they decided to go out and hire what they called “professional management,” or folks who just knew how to manage people. But it quickly backfired.
“It didn’t work at all,” Jobs said in a 1985 interview. “Most of them were bozos. They knew how to manage, but they didn’t know how to do anything.”
Jobs’ comment gets at the crux of a central debate in management: whether managers should actually want to be managers or not. Jobs argued the people who were least expecting to be leaders ended up being the best managers in the long run. That’s because other employees were more likely to actually learn something from them because they’ve mastered that skill—rather than only focusing on management techniques.

240-million-year-old ‘Chinese dragon’ fossil reveals 32 separate neck vertebrae
Feb 23, 2024 | 7:00 AM
The Year of the Dragon is off to an exciting paleontological start. Only a few weeks following Lunar New Year celebrations around the world, an international team of scientists have fully described a 240-million-year old aquatic Chinese reptile for the first time. With its impressively long neck with 32 separate neck vertebrae, Dinocephalosaurus orientalis resembles the mythological fire breathers and water beasts of ancient lore. The species is described in a study published February 23 in the journal Earth and Environmental Science: Transactions of the Royal Society of Edinburgh.
