Why does my furnace turn on, run a few minutes, then shut off? 🔥

That's called short cycling, and a common cause is restricted airflow. When the return can't pull in enough air, the furnace overheats and its safety switch shuts the burners off to protect it.

Before you call anyone, check the filter. A clogged one chokes airflow the same way.

When the return opening itself is too small, here's how Bob's Repair fixes it:
• Cut the return opening bigger
• Seal it tight so there are no air leaks
• Run full heating cycles to confirm the cutouts are gone
