Does closing air vents in unused rooms save money? No — it usually costs you more. 🌡️ Your ducts are a sealed pressure system, and closing vents raises the pressure inside them, forcing your cooled air out through leaks at the joints. 📈

The "less house to cool" logic feels right, but your system was never built to redistribute air that way.

And there's a worst-case version of this that ends in a repair call most people never connect back to the vents they closed. 🧊 👀

So if one room won't cool no matter what you do — the real fix isn't closing vents everywhere else. It's something a lot more specific.
