n Nevada. Judy and Robert Witt founded Ryan in 1986. The company was named in remembrance of their son, Ryan, who was killed by a drunk driver in 1995. They started off with five employees in the dining room of their home. Robert and Judys other seven children, their spouses and some grandchildren, are all involved with the company and work together with Judy and Robert to provide quality services to their customers and offer a comfortable and welcoming environment to their employees. Today, Ryan has over 20 full time employees and a temporary workforce of up to 100 for certain large projects. Ryan Mechanical performs mechanical services on industrial and commercial projects, including remodels, maintenance, service work, renovations, retrofits, tenant improvements, energy efficiency retrofits, design-builds, and new construction. The companys unionized employees are members of Local No. 525 Plumbers and Pipefitters, Local No. 350 Plumbers and Pipefitters, and Local No. 88 Sheet Metal Workers. Robert Witt has over thirty years experience in the mechanical contracting industry. Robert manages the sales and estimation departments and is the inspiration of the company. Additionally, he serves as a board member of the Mechanical Contractors Association and Local #525 Health and Welfare and Pension Committee. Judy Witt serves as the President of the company.
