I-59 Traffic Update:

Please help us spread the word by liking and sharing this post. As always, we appreciate everyone’s help in keeping our work zones safe.

A traffic switch will start at 7:00 a.m. on Monday, September 25, on Interstate 59 in Jones County and last approximately six weeks.

The traffic switch will occur on I-59 at Sanford Road and the Leaf River bridge.
Northbound traffic will be routed onto the southbound side of I-59 in a head-to-head configuration and will travel approximately 0.7 miles before being routed back to the northbound lane. All Sanford Road traffic on and off of I-59 northbound will be detoured. If possible, please use an alternate route during this time.

Absolutely, no wide loads will be permitted.

We ask that everyone please slow down and obey all construction signs and traffic control devices throughout the work zone.

I-59 Traffic Update:

Beginning this morning, the southbound lane on I-59 at the Leaf River and Sanford Road Bridges will be reduced to a 10' lane width. Please use caution when traveling through this area.
