We had another great volunteer day with Jim Anderson and Friends of Sligo Creek. Thank you for all of your hard work!

Thanks to our long time friends at Elysian Energy. Yesterday, a hardy crew worked all day removing Mile-a-Minute in the park near University Blvd and Wavyleaf basketgrass in the park off Arcola Ave. Thanks to Jim Anderson for leading the workday as a W**d Warrior Supervisor. The Wavyleaf basketgrass is a new exotic invader that we are working to keep out of Sligo Creek. The Mile-a-Minute is a long time menace that is smothering many of our trees.
