🧊 DON’T LET A DIRTY FILTER FREEZE YOUR AC! 🧊
A clogged air filter is one of the top reasons air conditioners freeze up in the Montana summer heat. Here’s what happens — and how to stop it:
❌ THE PROBLEM:
✔️ Dirty filter blocks airflow across the coil
✔️ Coil gets too cold and ice starts forming
✔️ Frozen coil = warm air blowing (or no air at all)
✔️ Ice can damage your compressor if ignored
✅ THE FIX:
✔️ Check your filter every 30 days
✔️ Replace it every 1-3 months (more often with pets)
✔️ Keep vents and returns unblocked
✔️ Schedule seasonal AC maintenance before problems start
Already have a frozen unit? Turn the AC off and let it thaw completely before running it again — then give us a call.
