Earlier this month we were called in to assist St. Andrews University in preparing for a couple of important events at the their beautiful Equestrian Center. The meandering driveways are lined with majestic Long Leaf Pine trees. It was an enjoyable week and we hope the events were a success.

We spent 2 days at this property and cut in new flower beds all the way around. There were 4-5 azaleas along the front foundation with grass running straight to the bricks. Around the sides and back we removed several years worth of scrub oaks and whatever else volunteered up. We dug out the roots to avoid
re-generation and tilled in some soil conditioners to enrich the medium, providing the essential nutrients for a healthy landscape.

Jackie and Marshall did a great job trimming the mature Holly's and Japanese Cleyera below the top half of the windows. We took over the maintenance contract at this Orthopedic clinic last month and one of our objectives was to reduce the height on the foundation shrubbery. The staff at Ortho-NC wanted to see some sunlight in the office. It appeared the shrubs were being tip-pruned for quite some time and eventually the plants were above the windows.
