A foyer transformation that gets a paws-up from the family pup! We expanded this entry with a new bump-out, creating a brighter, more open and welcoming space. The charming Dutch door adds character and function—perfect for welcoming guests, letting in fresh air and natural light, and keeping an eye on who’s coming up the walk.

A Maine lakefront retreat designed to feel as timeless as the landscape that surrounds it.

Thoughtfully designed by and brought to life by the Howell Custom Building Group team, this home is a beautiful example of architecture working in harmony with its setting.

One of our favorite design details is the way the architect layered a variety of geometries in the plan, section, and elevation—creating a composition that feels both dynamic and perfectly balanced. Every angle, roofline, and window placement contributes to a home that's as striking from afar as it is inviting up close.

The best houses are designed around thoughtful solutions. Sometimes the most meaningful transformations come from solving the right problems. A redesigned roofline eliminated long-standing drainage issues while giving the home a more balanced and welcoming presence. New cottage-style windows replaced dated details, adding warmth, character, and a timeless New England feel.
