Custom guitar commissioned by Josh and Jessi M. for Christmas 2022!

I’ve dubbed this the “Purple Special” given its design similarities to the famous “Red Special” built and played by Brian May of Queen.

It features a poplar body and roasted maple neck (neck made by Howell Guitar) with a pau ferro fretboard and bone nut.

P90 pickup in the bridge position, S-style single coil in the middle, and a Humbucker in the neck position. Shielded electronics cavities, 5-way blade switch, 1 volume, 1 tone.

Body Finished with Emtech EM6000 Water-Based Production Lacquer buffed to a high gloss finish. Neck finished with Wipe-On Polyurethane in satin.

This is a guitar with a lot to say both visually and tonally! Thanks for the order!
