Your house knows the kids are going back to school before you do. 💧

Because for the last three months, your plumbing has been getting absolutely abused.

Be honest. What did you put down your garbage disposal this summer? 😅

A few watermelon rinds?

Corn husks from the cookout?

A plate full of leftovers because scraping it into the trash felt like too much work?

And then there’s the one we really need to talk about…

Grease.

Every summer, perfectly reasonable people start treating their garbage disposals like they have the horsepower of a wood chipper.

They do not.

And by August, some of them have had enough.

The most expensive plumbing problem in your house might not look like a problem yet.

No puddle on the floor.
No water spraying from the ceiling.
No giant warning sign.

Maybe it’s a slow leak behind the wall.
Tree roots working their way into the sewer line.
A slab leak you can’t see.
Or a water heater quietly reaching the end of its life.

That’s the frustrating thing about plumbing.

The problem usually starts long before you notice it.

Pay attention to the little things. Strange smells. Slow drains. Changes in water pressure. A water bill that suddenly doesn’t make sense.

Sometimes your house is trying to tell you something.
