Due to the wet conditions today, I will not be out cutting. I will be back in the saddle tomorrow. Sometimes downtime isn’t all that bad, maintenance is a key to moving forward.

Have a happy and a safe 4th of July.

Have a happy and a safe 4th of July.

Godspeed recovery my friend, you are in our thoughts.

Godspeed recovery my friend, you are in our thoughts.

On June 18th, our founder, Austin Buss, was shot twice in the line of duty—once in the chest, where his vest saved his life, and once in his upper forearm. He was airlifted to North Memorial Hospital and underwent emergency surgery to save and stabilize his arm. Since then, he has undergone two additional surgeries as doctors continue to address the severity of his injuries.

Never did we imagine that our mission would hit so close to home. Yet through this difficult time, we have been reminded why The Brothers In Law exists. We are incredibly grateful for the community that has stood beside us and supported Austin, his family, and everyone affected by this incident.

This tragedy has impacted not only Austin and his loved ones, but also his brothers and sisters in law enforcement, fellow first responders, and all those involved that day. It serves as a powerful reminder of the physical, emotional, and mental challenges that first responders face.

We have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of prayers, encouragement, and support. Your kindness has been a source of strength, and we are humbled to know that Austin will not walk this road to recovery alone.

For those who have asked how they can help, we have created several ways to support Austin and his family during this journey. Thank you for standing with them, and thank you for believing in the mission of The Brothers In Law.

It's time for a Shift Change.

Unspoken stress always finds a way out. Better to release it early.

Life has a way of reminding us that we’re not always in control. Recent events have shown me just how much God has been preparing me and my family for seasons we never saw coming. Through the challenges, uncertainties, and changes, His hand has been present every step of the way.

Too often, we carry stress, worry, and burdens in silence, believing we have to handle everything on our own. But those weights don’t simply disappear—they eventually find a way to surface. That’s why it’s so important to talk, pray, lean on those you trust, and ask for help when you need it.

If you’re carrying something heavy today, know that you don’t have to carry it alone. Whether you’re a first responder, veteran, spouse, parent, or simply someone facing life’s challenges, there is strength in connection and healing in community.

Let’s continue to support one another, encourage one another, and trust God’s plan even when we can’t see the full picture.

Let’s make a Shift Change together.
Faith. Family. Future.
