Much of our team at DFD enjoyed touring the Morningside Ministries Senior Living Communities Meadows campus this afternoon, which will include the first Green House Small-House nursing facilities in Southern Texas and is expected to open in early 2026.

Shawn Gillen had the pleasure of working on a historic restoration/renovation of the Chandler House in San Antonio's historic Monte Vista District for Morningside Ministries Senior Living Communities. DFD Architects and TBA Healthcare Development led the project as a design-build from early 2022 through January 2024. Shawn became deeply involved on a personal level with not just the physical project, but with the history of the house and the legacy of Mr. and Mrs Chandler. DFD Architects and TBA Healthcare Dev. we’re very pleased to be a part of the Monte Vista Historical Association’s event at the Chandler Estate and for the opportunity to learn so much and pass along a little more history about the Chandlers and their legacy. Looking forward to day the campus is called home again.

Happy to be a partner with Habitat for Humanity of Williamson County on another home; especially a Net-Zero design that will save the homeowners money and reduce their footprint on the environment. It was great to meet Ashley and her adorable daughter, multiple City of Taylor officials, the team from Atmos Energy and of course all of the amazing Habitat employees and volunteers!
