Ferguson Custom Wood Creations is Hiring! We are a small artisan shop that respects work/ life balance. We value quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. We are looking for a finish carpenter / custom cabinet maker with 3-5 years of experience. Job duties include cut, assemble, and install custom wood products; sometimes independently, sometimes as a team. 80% of the work is done in our shop in north Leander. Most installation locations are north of Austin. 100% residential interior work, M-F 9-5, OT usually available. We have proven practices and techniques that allow us to be flexible, adaptable, and efficient, allowing us to perform large and small projects. Time to catch up on posting our accomplishments. Here are pics of some of the smaller projects we’ve worked on the past 11 months. A big thanks to all of our homeowner clients. Most of these projects are for repeat clients and word of mouth referals from family, friends, and neighbors.

We created this drop dead gorgeous dartboard for this charity that is near and dear to our hearts. We would love for everyone to take a look, make a bid and support this rescue while gaining a FCWC original.

It’s rare for us to be able to get pictures of fully finished, or very close-to, projects. Great functionality and use of space. The great thing about these smaller projects is we get to paint them in our spray booth before installation. So when we install and walk out the door that afternoon it’s completed full turnkey. Ready to use and decorate.

I’m pretty sure this has nothing to do with the Barbie movie but I bet any “Wanna B. Barbie” would wanna have this for a dressing room. A few remaining items to complete this but not bad for a days work.

The Durante house in Kingsland is coming along. Next week we’ll finish dressing out the island with paneling and create some floating shelves at the wet bar and pantry.

We’ve been working on this project since January. All of these cabinets were painted in our shop prior to installation. We’re happy to see this project nearing completion. Just a few loose ends we’re waiting on parts for but the client is moved in and very happy. Hopefully we’ll get to take some final photos soon. Island is walnut with burled chestnut flat panels.

We had the pleasure of revisiting a beautiful project we completed 9 years ago. Including a built-in bench seat. The pull-out trash cans were going out and needed to be replaced. I love the cabinet detail, especially in the glass doors. We don’t do a lot like this anymore. Classic without being traditional. Everything seems to be just shaker these days.

Sand, sand, and sand some more. These beams take a lot of work but the final product is absolutely worth it. Fortunately I have a great crew dedicated to performing their jobs with excellence.

This week we’re building Doug Fir beams at the Barger project. Looking good so far. Frames secured to the ceiling yesterday. Wrapped both sides of the larger beam and one side of each of the other two. Not bad for two days of work. It helps when you have a great crew.
