A little reminder for anyone who needs it today: it is never too late to start. π
We tend to think building a company is a young person's game. It isn't β and that's true in every industry. Harvard researchers looked at 2.7 million founders and found the average age of a successful founder is actually 45, and a 50-year-old is twice as likely to succeed as someone half their age. All that life experience? It's an advantage.
Look at who built what, and when:
Vera Wang designed her first dress at 40.
Mary Kay Ash started her company at 45.
Arianna Huffington launched HuffPost in her mid-50s.
And nearly 70% of women business owners today are between 44 and 59.
"You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream."
So if there's something you've been dreaming about β a business, a comeback, a brand-new chapter β consider this your sign. Start where you are, with what you have.
