Cedar deck completed August 12th in St. Robert, Missouri.

This project was built with cedar decking, a treated structural framework, and black aluminum railing for a clean, long-lasting finish. All joists were meticulously protected with joist tape before decking was installed to help prevent future water damage and extend the life of the structure.

Finished off with cedar fascia, matching stair treads, and black aluminum stair rail for a sharp contrast against the natural wood.

Cedar privacy fence completed August 8th in Lebanon, Missouri.

This project was built with cedar pickets, treated posts, and treated rails, including an oversized walk gate for easier access.

The cedar gives it a clean natural look, while the treated frame provides solid structural support.

Another treated deck completed — finished August 7th in Saint Robert.

This project gave the homeowner a much larger, safer, and more usable outdoor space with new treated decking, stairs, posts, and railing.

The deck wraps along the back of the home and creates plenty of room for seating, grilling, and enjoying the backyard while still keeping a clean, solid look.

Another completed project from July — all-cedar privacy fence finished on July 30th.

This one followed the slope of the yard and gave the homeowner a clean, natural-looking privacy fence that fits the property well.

This project was built with cedar pickets, cedar rails, and lifetime steel posts for a stronger, longer-lasting fence. The steel posts help prevent the common rotting, twisting, and leaning issues that can happen with standard wood posts over time.

This project also included gates and a full enclosure to make the backyard more private and usable.

We’re a little behind on posting, so we’ll be sharing a few completed projects over the next several days.

This treated deck was finished up on July 24th and made a big difference for this back entry area.

The old setup was removed and replaced with a new treated lumber deck, steps, and railing to create a safer, cleaner, and much more usable space off the back of the home.

Simple, solid, and built to be used.

From an aging deck to a completely rebuilt outdoor space.

For this Rolla homeowner, we removed the existing deck and rebuilt it with:

• Cedar deck boards and matching cedar cladding
• A pre-stained, pressure-treated support structure
• Black aluminum railing
• A redesigned staircase with a spacious intermediate landing
• A Trex RainEscape under-deck drainage system
The RainEscape system directs water away from the joists and beams, helping protect the structure while keeping the patio underneath considerably drier and more usable during wet weather.

The natural cedar, dark support structure, and black railing came together for a clean finished look that complements the home without losing the character of a traditional wood deck.

A returning customer—and one seriously upgraded outdoor space.

A few years ago, Deckard Construction installed this customer’s composite deck and aluminum fence. When they were ready for more room, they called us back to expand the deck and create an even better space for relaxing and entertaining.

The challenge: the original composite decking had been discontinued. Rather than forcing a poor match, we worked with the customer to choose a complementary color and designed the transition intentionally. The darker divider and border boards tie the original and new sections together, making the expansion look planned instead of patched on.

The finished deck adds a massive amount of usable space while pairing beautifully with the black aluminum railing and covered seating area.

We’re grateful for customers who trust us enough to call us back for the next project. This one turned out incredible.

Repeat customers are the best kind of compliment.

A few years ago, this customer trusted Deckard Construction with their composite deck. After that, they had us back out to install their aluminum fence. Now we’re back again to expand the deck and help make this backyard even more usable.

We’re excited to see this one come together. The existing deck, railing, fence, and yard already look great, and this expansion is going to give them even more room to enjoy the space.

Another privacy fence project wrapped up.

This one is a lifetime steel post privacy fence with cedar rails and cedar pickets. The steel posts give the fence long-term strength and durability, while the cedar keeps that clean, natural privacy fence look.

This was installed for a Lowe’s customer. Lowe’s can be a great route if you are wanting to finance your project through the Lowe’s card. There is a premium that comes with going that route, but for many homeowners, the financing option makes it easier to get the project done now.
