Started the Valley Life Church exterior concrete project last week. Not gonna lie. Friday was a rough day pouring concrete. Weather report called for a sprinkle around 8am and 9am. It ended up that coastal drizzle all day long until the afternoon. It was a long day of plastic on plastic off the concrete. But the crew managed to save all of it but two panels. That’s a win in my book. We continue to push on and make progress through this rather large project. Stay tuned for more.

This project has been in the works for a few years now. We had several setbacks which kept putting the project further out. One being needing geotechnical reports completed due to poor soil content. After testing came back the conclusion was over excavate 18” and place crushed rock in lifts. But even with all the setbacks this job is going to be so awesome. Retaining walls going in next. Then a channel drain, exposed aggregate finish and lots of drain pipe to help mitigate the water issues. We still have a long way to go but the wait is worth it. More photos soon.

Neighbors at the new property

I’m thinking this new property for the business is just what we needed. The crew has been hard at work moving all our materials and equipment. We still have lots of work at the new property placing gravel and cleaning up the place but it has came a long way so far. Few more loads to the dump and a pile of tires to take out of here then we are ready for rock. We will also plant some trees and new grass in parts of the property. Hoping to have our security fence up in about 2-3 weeks as well. Stay tuned for more updates. Have a great long weekend. God Bless those who lost their lives serving this country. Friday meeting day.

Fridays are my meeting days. Every Friday is anywhere from 5-8 jobs I look at for potential new projects. Here’s just a glimpse of what it looks like. Every hour on the hour starting at 9am. However I did sneak a 9th one in to look at today.
