Fall is the best time to try and thicken up our lawn, because the cooler soil temps allow new seed to germinate well and roots to dig deeper!

One key thing we can do to allowing this happen more efficiently is Aeration. This allows more water, oxygen, and nutrients to get deeper in the soil, drive the roots down towards them. It also allows for excellent seed-to-soil contact to increase germination percentage on your seed.

Another key to maximizing your lawns abilitie to absorb water, oxygen, and nutrients is Dethatching. This breaks up the layer of debris that accumulated in the yard from years of Mowing. It is natural to have a thatch layer, but should it get too thick, your soil can't absorb its essentials like it needs.
