All of us at CITRUS 95, the FOX 96.7, HITS 106 and NatureCoast Country want to be sure everyone is aware that our company had no involvement in the concert that was scheduled and cancelled tonight (February 28) at the Fair Grounds Auditorium. The company that scheduled and cancelled that show, Candy Apple Entertainment has done this before in our market. Part of tonight’s advertised show was an Eagles tribute that was originally scheduled for January, but cancelled due to poor sales. Our 7-Bridges Eagles show was already scheduled for March 7th when they decided to reschedule their cancelled show from January to February 28th.
We know it’s confusing, and we really hope the Fairgrounds will decline to rent them the venue again in the future.
Our local radio company has been doing business here in Citrus County since 2000. We have an excellent reputation, have promoted dozens and dozens of concerts here, and have NEVER cancelled a show.
We have also been the partner with the city of Inverness for over 3 years hosting the hugely successful “Small Town Saturday Night’ events.
My heart goes out to all of the disappointed fans left standing in an empty parking lot tonight. We love live music, and we love Citrus county.
And we hope if you really love the music of the Eagles, you’ll join us Saturday night, March 7th at the Citrus Fair Auditorium.
Tickets start at $20 and beer and wine will be available with the proceeds going 100% to Citrus FFRA, a local charity supporting the families of local individuals with disabilities.
Thanks
