🚨 HVAC MYTH: "Close vents in unused rooms to save money!"

You've heard this one. Your dad probably told you. The internet repeats it constantly.

It's wrong. Here's why:

Your HVAC system is sized for your WHOLE house. When you close vents, you're not "redirecting" air—you're creating pressure buildup that:

→ Makes your blower work harder (more energy, not less)
→ Can cause duct leaks
→ Creates uneven temperatures
→ Potentially damages your system over time

The real move? Keep vents open. If certain rooms are consistently too hot or too cold, that's a balancing issue we can fix.
