Bathroom Renovation Project
This project involved a full renovation of a bathroom, completed in accordance with building standards and requirements for wet areas.
Scope of work:
• Removal of all existing tile throughout the entire bathroom
• Full shower waterproofing using the Schluter® KERDI membrane system
• Installation of new tile in the shower area and on the walls
• Construction of a built-in tiled shower niche — a durable, long-lasting solution that is easy to clean and maintain
• Removal of the cabinet above the toilet
• Replacement of the existing light fixture with proper ceiling lighting
• Installation of a complete ventilation system from scratch, with exhaust vented directly to the exterior
• Replacement of all shut-off valves for the toilet and sink
• Full replacement of ceiling drywall with moisture-resistant drywall
• Application of mold- and mildew-resistant primer
