There are a lot of things I’d rather do than listen to Skrillex to deter mosquitos. Paying Ward Off Pest Defense to spray my property is #1 on that list!! 🦟❌

A bizarre and fascinating study in the journal Acta Tropica found that playing Skrillex's dubstep track "Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites" actually repels mosquitoes!

The findings were wild: mosquitoes exposed to the song delayed their attacks on hosts, fed less on blood, and even mated less often.

It turns out the combination of high and low frequencies and the lack of a recognizable melodic pattern disoriented them, disrupting their normal behaviors.

So next time you're outside, maybe put on a little Skillrex to keep the bugs away! It's a fun and unexpected example of how sound and music can have a tangible impact on the animal kingdom.
