🐞 Check out what’s making itself at home in our pollinator garden at the Leesburg Public Library ladybugs!

These little helpers do a big job by naturally controlling harmful pests like aphids and other insects that can damage plants and flowers. Ladybugs help keep gardens healthy without the need for harsh chemicals, making them a great addition to any pollinator-friendly space. 🌼🦋🐝

A healthy pollinator garden is more than just beautiful flowers it’s a thriving ecosystem working together naturally. Keep an eye out next time you visit… you may spot a few more tiny garden helpers hard at work! 🐞

🌱🌼 This past Saturday, May 16, the Leesburg in Bloom Community Garden at the Leesburg Resource Center saw another incredible day of growth and community support! 🌼🌱

Volunteers from across our community came together with one shared goal continuing to grow something special for Leesburg. Thanks to their hard work, dedication, and teamwork, we were able to build eight additional garden beds, expanding the garden and creating even more opportunities for community involvement, education, and fresh growth.

Projects like this don’t happen without people willing to roll up their sleeves and give back, and Saturday was a perfect example of what makes our community so special. From building beds to preparing the space for future planting, every volunteer played a part in helping this garden continue to flourish.

The Leesburg In Bloom Community Garden is more than just a garden it’s becoming a place where neighbors connect, families learn, volunteers serve, and our community continues to grow together.

A special thank you to RoMac Building Supply for their very generous donation of building materials that helped make these additional garden beds possible. We also want to sincerely thank the City of Leesburg Public Works Department for their continued support and assistance with this project. Partnerships like these truly make a difference in our community.

We can’t wait to continue expanding and bringing even more life and beauty to this space!

🌼🦋 This morning, following our Leesburg In Bloom board meeting, several of our board members took a walk through the new pollinator garden at the Leesburg Public Library, and it’s already coming to life beautifully! 🐝🌿

What started as an idea to create a welcoming, educational, and pollinator-friendly space for our community is quickly becoming a reality thanks to so many volunteers, partners, and supporters who helped bring this project together.

From native plants and wildflowers to future butterfly activity and pollinator habitats, this space is designed to support bees, butterflies, and other important pollinators while giving residents a peaceful place to enjoy nature right here in the heart of Leesburg. 🌸

A huge thank you to everyone involved in helping make projects like this possible. The transformation happening around our library is something our entire community can be proud of, and this is only the beginning for Leesburg In Bloom! 🌼💚

🦋 Be on the lookout for an upcoming butterfly release event, along with exciting additions, including live beehives and educational bee programs coming to the library area soon! 🐝

Be sure to stop by the Leesburg Library and check it out for yourself… and don’t forget to share your pollinator garden photos with us, too! 📸🐞

Did you know Magnolia trees are pollinator friendly? 🌸🐝

Florida native magnolias help support native bees, beetles, butterflies, and other beneficial pollinators while adding beautiful natural landscaping to our community.

Creating pollinator-friendly spaces at home even small ones can make a big difference for our environment and local wildlife.

We’d love to see your pollinator-friendly yards and gardens! Share your photos in the comments below and inspire others throughout our community.
