Finally getting this one rolling... I think I have blocked the profiles for the original so-called contractor on this job who threatened me with a bad review because I called him out on all of his lies... This poor customer had the actual store they purchased their floor from give them the wrong glue and then their contractors/ flooring person. They hired. Told them it was fine. No problems. It would be fine... We were able to step in thankfully before it was a complete and total disaster for this customer because the bottom floor of this house is 3000 ft²... It's massive and had it all been completed. It would have all been done incorrectly... Please make sure when you hire a contractor for anything that you check and make sure they are either a licensed contractor or get references to their work and not pictures on their phone because you can pull pictures off of Google... You can pull pictures off of my page and claim you did the work... Ask for references and ask for insurance, license, something... And if you are ever in doubt about anything that you purchase, read the directions... Seriously everything has directions on it and it will give you specific instructions. Like a bucket of glue will tell you what floors you can and cannot use it on. This particular flooring came from Home Depot with the wrong glue and I know that in the past I don't know about now, but in the past Lowe's did not have one single tile mortar that was rated for showers yet they sent their contractors with a bucket that was not rated for water submersion... There are so many small details that the average consumer is unaware of and I don't even care if you hire me to do the job. But if you ever have a question, please call me and I will be happy to answer any question that a customer might have to insure that your installation of whatever it is you're having done is done properly... I do not ever want to see anybody throw their hard-earned money away over something as simple as the wrong glue. Hopefully tomorrow we will be wrapping up at least this large living area which is 1,000 ft² by itself and hoping and praying that we will be wrapped up on this job by Sunday evening and have these customers in the bottom floor of their home ready for cabinets..
And wouldn't you know these customers are just the sweetest people I have ever met... But they certainly had somebody out there that was trying to take them for a ride... I myself am strongly considering just going ahead and taking the time and getting my full-blown contractors license so that I can be of more assistance to more people in a broader capacity. I'm just tired of seeing good people taking advantage of by shady individuals. It's not right and it is not fair to claim to be able to do something when you are not even qualified to pick up the box... My grandmother used to say it was better to be thought of fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt...
