Part 1 of our basement renovation in Biltmore Forest. 🏡
This one started with water. The basement had been taking it on, and it did a number on the bottom of the walls down there. So before anything pretty happened, we fixed the water — new drainage and gutters outside so the finished space actually stays dry. That's always step one.
Then we got after the whole basement. Pulled 1,300 square feet of old carpet, ground the slab clean, and are sealing the concrete for a wet-look floor. New ceiling, 12 new lights, took out a wall to open it up, new stair treads, new trim and solid doors throughout, built-in pantry shelving, and fresh paint in every room.
And the big one — a brand new bathroom from the studs out. Tiled shower, new vanity, the works. That's the part I'm most excited to show you.
We're in the home stretch now, so we'll be sharing the process over the next few posts. Stick around for the reveal. 👊
