🚜 Before & After: Driveway Transformation Complete!

Another property got a major upgrade with a complete driveway restoration designed to improve both function and curb appeal.

Here's what our team completed:
✔️ Excavated and hauled away the old gravel
✔️ Regraded and compacted the subgrade for a solid foundation
✔️ Reshaped the slope alongside the driveway to create additional width and improve the overall appearance
✔️ Installed boulders and fresh mulch, blending seamlessly with the existing landscaping
✔️ Added new road bond with proper drainage and thoroughly compacted it for a durable, long-lasting finish

Big day for us! We’re happy to welcome the new Caterpillar 265 high flow tracked skid steer!!

🚜 Complete Driveway Rehabilitation After New Construction 🚜

The homeowners had only been moved in for about a month before their vehicles started sinking into the driveway! The existing sub grade wasn't holding up, so it was time for a complete rebuild from the ground up.

✅ Removed existing gravel

✅ Re-compacted the sub grade

✅ Installed woven driveway fabric, stapled every 1' on center

✅ Added 45 tons of 3" ballast stone and compacted it

✅ Installed 55 tons of ABC stone

✅ Rolled and compacted with 1,500+ gallons of water for an incredibly solid finish

We also improved drainage throughout the property by installing:

💧 4 driveway drains

🪨 21 tons of Class B rip rap

🏗️ A new headwall and end wall on the existing culvert

🌄 Boulders around the culvert to help keep debris out of the ditch line

This driveway is now built to handle the steep terrain, heavy rain, and daily traffic for years to come.

🏡 Front Entry Transformation Complete! 🏡

This homeowner was dealing with a front porch that had nearly 5 inches of negative drainage, causing water to run back toward the foundation. The existing concrete walkway was falling apart, there was no good access to the left side of the home, and the front yard needed a little more definition.

We got to work by excavating and removing the old porch, temporarily supporting the porch roof, reframing and re-pouring the concrete with proper positive drainage away from the house, installing new 6x6 support posts, adding boulder steps for easier access, and finishing it all off with a brand-new welcoming walkway.

To tie everything together, we also installed a landscape border to help define the yard and add some extra curb appeal. 🌿

From start to finish, this project came together great, and working with these homeowners made it even better!

🚧🌿 Lake Lure Restoration Project Update 🌿🚧

Progress continues on this property restoration project on Lake Lure! Our team has been hard at work removing unwanted trees, clearing downed timber and brush, and hauling debris off-site to create a clean foundation for the next phase.

We’ve also graded the driveway and prepared it for fresh gravel and compaction, while the first layer of matting has been installed and is ready for mulch. We're currently waiting on plants to arrive before moving forward with the final landscaping touches. Stay tuned—this transformation is far from finished, and more updates are on the way!
