This one needed a little more than a lamp change.

At some point, all the original fluorescent lamps and components had been ripped out, and a residential closet light fixture was screwed into the top of the sign as a makeshift light source.

We removed the makeshift setup and converted the sign to LED, giving it proper, bright, even illumination again.

Sometimes the job isn’t just an upgrade—it’s fixing what was done before.

Troubleshooting with an ocean view today! 🌊⚡

This beach house was experiencing dimming lights, and the 240-volt appliances weren’t operating correctly. After inspecting the electrical system, we found a loose, corroded connection at the subpanel breaker. The connection had generated enough heat to melt that breaker and damage the breaker beside it.

We replaced both damaged breakers, secured the connections, and got everything operating properly again.

Loose electrical connections can cause serious equipment damage and create a major fire hazard. If your lights are dimming or appliances aren’t working correctly, don’t ignore the warning signs—call Shield Electric and get it checked out.

A little spring cleaning at Shield Electric ⚡️🧹

We started the day with our team meeting and devotional—taking time to lift each other up, encourage one another, and get our minds right before getting after it.

Then it was time to clean out the vans, get organized, and make sure we’re ready for the work ahead.

Taking care of the little things matters. Clean vans, organized tools, a strong team, and keeping our priorities in the right place.

Troubleshooting a gas price sign that was flashing instead of displaying fuel prices.

Step by step, we verified power, checked the heat sink, tested the LED drivers, and traced the problem all the way to the failed circuit board. That's why you troubleshoot before you replace parts.

Now we know exactly what's needed to get this sign back in service.

⚡ Diagnose first. Replace second. That's how you save time and money.
