What Does a Day Look Like for KC HVAC Savers?
So, I often get asked by friends and customers, “What’s a typical day for you?” Well, buckle up because I’m doing a little photo dump from just yesterday. Spoiler alert: it’s not all glamorous, but it’s always rewarding!
My day usually starts around 5 a.m. Now, I wish I could say I’m hitting the gym at that time, but truth is, I’m just excited to get out there, fix some problems, and—let’s be real—maybe score a few hugs along the way. Nothing beats knowing that I’m helping people out and building friendships as I go.
But hey, it’s not always smooth. There’s a lot of shoddy work out there—companies cutting corners, pushing people to replace systems based on age, not condition. That’s where my team and I come in. We make sure you’re treated fairly and not sold on fear tactics. We’re not just in it for the quick fix; we’re in it to make things right. And yes, we appreciate the meal invites. Seriously, my team loves it!
So, what does a day look like? Here’s a little taste:
Furnace repairs—some are as simple as tweaking your so-called “smart” thermostat (which is apparently smarter than all of us).
Then there’s the not-so-simple stuff, like replacing a control board—what most of you lovingly refer to as the "Motherboard"—which usually breaks down because the last company didn’t bother to service the A/C properly. Yep, that could’ve been avoided!
I tell customers all the time: if your furnace has been keeping you warm for 15 or 20 years, maybe it’s time to pour a glass of wine and toast to its service before it heads off into retirement.
But not every part of the job is lighthearted. Yesterday, I spent time with a new friend, Debbie, who has terminal cancer. She can’t handle the cold, and our healthcare system isn’t exactly helping with the bills. Debbie, I told you I’ve got your back, and it was an honor to make sure you stay warm. She offered me a beer, but what really mattered was the hug she gave me. I felt all 98 pounds of her, and in that moment, I knew I was doing the right thing.
Today, I’ll be keeping another promise. I’ve rearranged our schedule to help an elderly couple with no heat. By noon, they’ll be warm. But the hard part of today is that I’ll be attending the funeral of a dear friend I’ve known since elementary school. Cancer took her too soon. I’m grateful to have such an incredible family here at KC HVAC Savers, giving me the space to say goodbye.
Now, to end on a high note! Thanks to all of you sharing our name, we’re fully booked, even into next week. But don’t worry—no one’s getting left out in the cold. We’ll always find a way to keep you warm, just like you keep us going.
Thanks, friends!
