There was water dripping from the ceiling when the toilet was flushed upstairs. Started with the usual process of pulling the toilet to inspect the wax ring and toilet fl**ge. Everything was dry and good. So next option was get in the ceiling and put eyes on the problem. It didn't take long to figure the problem out. Definitely not what I expected but still not at all surprised.
