Hi neighbors! 👋🏼 We wanted to let everyone know that our farmstand hours are changing slightly starting this week. 

The farm stand will now be open Wednesday-Saturday, 9am-7pm. 

This small change will give our family a little more freedom on the weekends while still being available to you all four days each week. We absolutely love and appreciate each and every one of you that have supported our little stand and followed along with our homesteading journey!

Thanks so much everyone, we’ll see you again at the stand on Wednesday! 🌱🍅

Come check out what we have in our cooler at the farm stand! 😍

All of this produce has been grown on our own property without any use of synthetic fertilizers/pesticides/herbicides.

The only thing we’ve used so far is a homemade peppermint spray to deter aphids from getting our tomatoes, that’s it!

We’ve done a lot of baked goods in the stand since propping it up last October, so it feels so rewarding to finally have produce available that we’ve grown ourselves.

Our first garlic harvest 🧄

This was our first time planting garlic, so there are plenty of lessons to be learned but we’re still happy with how things went!

Picture 1: All of these bulbs came out beautifully with lots of cloves inside!

Picture 2: A buuunch of bulbs that didn’t separate during winter and are basically just a single, large clove of garlic.. I think this was due to our mild winter, garlic needs a good cold snap for the bulb to separate into cloves.

Picture 3: Garlic corms! These things are like little garlic seeds that were attached to the bulb when we harvested. Except it’ll take two years to get a proper head of garlic if we decide to plant these this year.. so we’ll see if we go that route.

Overall, this was a very fun crop to plant and watch grow over winter so I think we’ll try it again this fall and hopefully get an even better harvest next year 🤞🏻

Okay who knows about cattle genetics?! Because we have questions 😅

Red, our red cow, was bred with a red bull (they are Dexters) but then little Ribeye was born JET BLACK which we were so confused about because we understood that two red parents would make a red calf. But now now look at his hair at two months old…

Is he going to end up red? Someone tell us! 🤷🏼‍♀️

Who knew that our little idea for a farm stand would spark so much joy ✨

I never thought we would become so intertwined with our neighbors and community when we started doing this. But over the few short months of propping up our stand, we have met countless new friends who have continuously expressed their gratitude for what we are doing.

This has been such a journey - from figuring out the best recipes, what people like and what I also enjoy making, and all the learning curves in between, we couldn’t be more grateful for everyone that has supported us along the way (especially when the recipe doesn’t always turn out perfect 😅)

We can’t wait to see where this thing continues to take us and we hope everyone enjoys the journey with us along the way!

Okay how awesome is this CSA haul from 🙌🏻 It came with lettuce greens, flavored nuts, granola, pepper jelly, radishes, a thyme starter, as well as some local chick peas from Palouse Brand.

We are so excited to try all these goodies! Chloe puts her whole heart into everything she does and it certainly shows 😍
