It’s that time of year again! Switching from heating to cooling season means three things.
1. Remember to check and/ or change your air filter. Restricted air flow from a plugged filter can cause cooling failures and coil freeze ups.
2. If you cover your condensing (outdoor) unit, remember to remove the cover for the cooling season. Forgetting to remove the cover on your condensing unit will result in cooling failures or possible damage.
3. Avoid a/c coil freeze ups. Don’t set your thermostat colder than 68 degrees. Most residential air conditioners are not designed to cool below 68. A set point colder than 68 degrees can result in a frozen a/c coil which means no cooling until it thaws!
Happy spring y’all! 🪴💐🪴💐

Not to be crass, but a dog really can destroy your outdoor condensing unit simply by the repeated lifting of his leg which react to the metals in the condensing unit…meaning no a/c. 😢 If you have a good dog with this bad habit, build a fence or protective barrier to prevent the issue from causing permanent damage.

Probably just needs the refrigerant topped off.

Winter has arrived! Things like extreme cold, and heavy drifting snow can cause heating failures. If your furnace is blowing cold air, first check your filter then check the venting to be sure it isn’t blocked with snow, frost or ice. Need help? Call your favorite heating professional! ❄️🔥☀️

The weather is starting to warm up, but the recent exteme cold gave your furnace a good work out! If you haven’t checked your filter in the last 3 + months, now is a good time! Plugged filters can cause reduced efficiency and heating failures!

With more time spent indoors during colder months indoor air quality is crucial. Did you know this can be enhanced by simple home filter maintenance? For more HVAC Tips:
