You take the same bend into your own place every day, and your hands know it before your eyes do.

A tight one has you stopping halfway to line the truck up, then easing in with one wheel in the grass. Nobody enjoys that. A wide one, you come off the road in one steady turn and you're already looking at the house. That's one of ours, wide the whole way through the bend.

You might figure that's our job, not yours. It is. But you're out there while it's raining. We aren't.

What do you call it when two cracks on your Lexington driveway have run into one? You drive over it every day and can't name it on the phone.

You don't need the word for it. We'll come out and walk that edge with you. Where have the cracks run together? Where have pieces broken loose? Then we'll tell you plainly whether we seal that edge, repair that section, or replace it.

Put it off, and you could be calling us about more of the driveway later.

You won't be the first who couldn't describe it. Not in 46 years of Central Kentucky driveways.

Do people still park on your Tates Creek lot while a crew's working on it?

Our crew doesn't take the whole thing at once. We close off the piece we're working, put cones and a rope around it, and leave the rest of your lot alone until we get there.

There's a rope still up in this one.

We back material and all workmanship for a full year. That year covers every part of your lot we work on, the first one and the last.

You get your lot back a section at a time, clean, while the crew's already working down at the other end.
