Sometimes you never know what’s going to happen. I had just checked over this tree a couple hours before we heard cracking. We couldn’t tell where it was coming from but knew something was about to fall and fall it did…10ft away from Haylie!! Seemingly healthy limb, but in a declining locust. Everyone is ok minus a couple fried nerves.

The witchhazel likely isn’t going to make it. Seems like some bugs chomped it and that caused some galls making this a ‘that’s all she wrote’ type situation.
We reseeded the upper meadow after the mowers took out the annual meadow mix…it’s late to be doing this but we are trying anyways!
Deer fencing was needed to protect some shrubs.
All those bare spots in the field….those are future meadow plots now!
All in a days work!

Haylie and I have been working hard to get w**ds under control and new native plants established on a meadow bank. This client likes blues, purple, light pinks and white so we have very intentionally selected plants to make this project happen.
Patience is a virtue though…check back in a year for full results!

Haylie and I have been working to get w**ds under control and many new native plants established on a clients meadow bank. This client likes blues, purples, light pinks and white, so the plants have been very intentionally selected and nearly all are natives.
We’d like to give a big shout out to Bugs at Root 11 Native Plant nursery for the wonderful additions to this project!!

Today I got multiple jobs and many errands done!! Killed some w**ds, bad bugs and enjoyed the view.

I tested out a bed defining attachment today in my personal garden. It’s not as good as a big clunky bed edger….but when you can’t seem to get a decent and working piece of equipment from the rental place, you pivot!
