The horses were apparently my new spotters today… they stood in the background like they were showing me exactly where the fresh gopher activity was. Turns out they were right — ended up catching TWO.

Not every set goes perfectly—and that’s part of the process.

Came back to check this trap and found it completely filled with sand. That’s a sign the gopher is still active and pushing dirt through the tunnel system.

Re-dug the set and reset it in the active line.

These sand gophers will teach you quick—but if you pay attention, they also show you exactly where they’re at.
