This month, we’re celebrating The Pond Lady Lake & Pond Management as our Sponsor of the Month. The Pond Lady makes sure our pond stays in tip-top shape for all the creatures that enjoy it throughout the year. Read on to hear Lynn Rushing’s account of the company’s story with Old Friends.

“I met Michael Blowen over 15 years ago, at a horseman’s function, and he asked me if I could help him with his pond. I fell in admiration for a man with such dedication to the retired athletes, and his warm enthusiasm for making a difference in the horse’s lives and bringing awareness to the general public of these great horses, plus his happy smile and super sweet wife!

I told him he could count on me, to take care of the water, while he took care of a million other things to run the Dream Chase Farm. Now the farm is larger, and many more incredible horses get to reside there, but we are still coming every month to help the pond be healthier, so she can be prettier and be the liquid asset for the mission. We have been honored to sponsor the care tending for the pond, for such an incredible place.”
