Basic Elements Studio - Linda Barnes Lear, Artist I am a native Lexingtonian and have always loved creating. I paint with oils and acrylics on canvas, Masonite, and linen.

My creative passions include painting, ceramic sculpture, interior decorating, flower gardening, and photography. My hand-painted pillows, featured here, begin with me photographing my subject. I then draw and paint the design mainly on linen fabric. When the painting is done, I select the fabric, from which I make the body of the pillow, and often add tassels, decorative trim, and other embellish

ments such as silk rosettes, bows, decorative buttons, feathers, etc. Each of my pillows are original and, therefore, unique and one-of-a-kind.
