Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled and dependable Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of construction equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair heavy equipment including excavators, loaders, bulldozers, dump trucks, and other machinery
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacements, and preventative service
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical issues
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation
• Ensure all equipment meets safety and operational standards
• Respond to field service calls as needed
• Work closely with operators and supervisors to identify equipment concerns
Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a heavy equipment mechanic (construction industry preferred)
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of equipment brands
• Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
