I can do irrigation system repair now and my list of services are as follows...

Consultation is FREE. I love meeting people and speaking with you!

- Irrigation system repair (heads, pipes, changing spray pattern).
- Lawn maintenance : Mulch mowing and the "even" golf course look up to 1/2 acre. Honda twin blade mowers exclusively.
-W**d control of any kind. Name the w**d, I have a solution. Any grass type.
- Turf fungus and fungal infection including army worms (which actually looks like fungus in some cases along with grub worms).
- Fertilizer based on soil test. I have the experience to eyeball it, but I provide free soil testing to make sure your lawn or garden has the nutrients it needs and not in an excess amount.
- Hedges and ornamental trimming.

I've moved to the Longview area and am in the process of getting all information updated at the moment.

In the mean time, I have a plant rooting and growth formula that is fantastic, and should be available in the near future.

As before, I still offer w**d/fungus control, fertilization and lawn maintenance.

The updated hours of operation are...

Monday - Friday 9:00am - 6:00pm
Weekends - Appointment and on call basis

There is an exception that I *do* take calls on weekends and after closing time for quotes, inquiries, or to come visit you personally so we can talk about your needs so feel free to give me a call and leave me a voicemail or text message and I'll get back with you as soon as I can. I understand that most people work during the weekday so I am flexible.

On another note, right now is the absolute best time to start tackling w**d issues and I specialize in w**d control (and fertilization) so, please call me so I can discuss your needs. When it comes to fertilizer and w**d control, I can do it all. I can do most w**d control projects without harming healthy lawn. There are some tough ones, but those are fairly rare, and with minimal impact on healthy turf even then.

Nutsedge seems to be prolific and outrageous at the moment and I have solutions for Bermuda and St. Augustine that can take care of Nutsedge with no damage. Even if Nutsedge is not your problem, I have a solution for you!

I shop around and purchase my fertilizer and herbicides wholesale and I do this so I can save you money. My philosophy is to treat my customers right and at a fair price. I will always let you know if something is unnecessary and will try to find you the best solution. I run my business on the golden rule.

POST FREEZE UPDATE!

Within the next few weeks, the Bermuda should start popping up as average nightly low temperatures are getting near the 50's!

With that being said, this is when we'll know (me included) if our lawns made it through the freeze. This was the hardest and longest freezing weather event in North Texas in almost 30 years, and I can assure you there will be lawn damage as there is no common turf grass in the area that can handle that kind of weather. With that being said, I do hope not only for my customers sake, but for my own as well, it will be patchy but nobody will know until we can get nightly low temperatures above 50 degrees for 5+ days (very soon it looks like though). We'll be able to see then.

Last year, the typical delivery time for Bermuda and St. Augustine Grass was 1.5-2 weeks for sod at a reasonable price. As always, I will find the best price and options for you and we will, together, formulate a plan on getting your lawn back into tip top shape. Just as plumbing supplies got very scarce after the freeze I can 100% guarantee sod will be extremely scarce once all of us can see the damage caused. I do not have a time yet, but I can tell you that with this being a state wide event, it may take longer than 2 weeks. To compound that, most of the sod farms for Texas turf grass are in Texas, so I imagine they lost part of their "crop" as well.

I am keeping an eye out, but so far nobody is being forthcoming as to what stocks are like nor what the price per sq. ft. will be, but I am checking daily so I will update everyone as soon as I know. Please, if you need lawn damage repaired and want to go the sod option, contact me ASAP! Stocks will go very fast!

You have another option too...

As we did with many lawns last year, with time (average 4-6 weeks) we can get your grass that survived moving into the bare areas that didn't make it through the disastrous freeze. I used this method on almost every lawn with heat damage with a success rate of 100% so this may actually be more cost effective for you if sod delivery time gets outrageous, or if you don't mind letting your grass recover the natural way. We have ways to speed the process up! :)

I am excited that spring will be here in a little over a month!

I apologize to everyone for not updating the page for a while, but we are still here and ready to gear up for spring when the time comes.

We have been seeing considerable amounts of precipitation the last 2 weeks and that means w**ds! Just like your grass, w**ds flourish when it rains. Whether you have Bermuda or St. Augustine, we have herbicides that are safe and effective for your lawn!

I have noticed an explosion of Yellow Nutsedge over the last week to some degree in every yard I have looked at or serviced. Once established Nutsedge is extremely hard to control without professional help, so call me and let me help you!

The recommended interval in which a mower blade should be sharpened is every 25hrs of use or if you hit a hard object. I keep 3 sets of blades which are rotated on a weekly basis with a sharp blade. I sharpen our blades every week and inspect them before every service. If a blade strikes an object and becomes damaged there is 2 more freshly sharpened sets handy and can be changed on site!

What does this mean to you?

Dull mower blades tear the grass, they don't cut it. The lawn then becomes injured and the grass blade tips turn brown. Since the ends of the grass blades are injured, best case your yard is just unsightly until mowed again with a sharp blade, but worst case it makes your lawn more susceptible to disease! Look at your blades after a fresh mow and if the blade tip looks like frayed blue jeans, the mower blade is dull.

Here is an example of grass that has been cut with a dull blade and the two pairs of blades I just sharpened today.

Sneed's Lawn Care LLC can fertilize your lawn for just as much as what it would costs for you to fertilize it yourself. Yes, you read that correctly!

At Sneed's Lawn Care, we can custom order virtually any N-P-K ratio fertilizer or custom blend fertilizer to fit your needs for just as much as you would purchase fertilizer from the big box store for. Think about it, at a big box store, a 30lb bag of fertilizer can cost almost $60 and you probably need more than one bag! We are experts and can take the guessing game out of the numbers written on the bag and apply the appropriate fertilizer to meet your needs!

So why would you hand the big box store that kind of money to do it yourself when we can do it for just as much or less? Save yourself the hassle and contact us!

*Prices vary depending on the lawns needs and square footage. A soil test is highly recommended and is an additional charge.
