We believe one of the best parts of becoming an electrician is that no two days look exactly the same. From bending conduit and building with strut to wiring outlets and working around panels, there’s always something new to learn. Electricity isn’t the only power we bring to our communities.

Members of our Kansas City office recently spent time with Giving the Basics and packaged 8,670 hygiene items for neighbors in need. Things like soap, toothpaste, and deodorant are easy to take for granted, but for students, seniors, and families across KC, they make a real difference in health, confidence, and dignity.

This visit was part of our Power of Giving program, which gives our office teams paid hours each year to serve the causes they care about. We’re proud of this crew and grateful to Giving the Basics for the work they do every day.

When Hurricane Isaias hit the Florida Panhandle, many of our Fort Walton Beach and Pensacola team members were left with downed trees, crushed fences, and blocked roads.

So they did what they do best. They showed up.

Teammates loaded their trucks and chainsaws and went house to house, clearing driveways, yards, and roads for each other. Some worked through the night right after the storm so neighbors could get out for supplies.

We talk a lot about being a family at Barts Electric. This week, our Florida team showed us what that looks like.
