HLP is partnering with Lemberg to provide the lightning protection system for the future Nature & Culture Museum of Wisconsin in downtown Milwaukee.

Featuring immersive exhibits, a butterfly vivarium, an 82-foot central lightwell and spaces designed to inspire curiosity and learning, this unique project is on track to become a new cultural landmark for the region when it opens in 2027.

The Imagination Center at Reindahl Park in Madison is designed as a new community hub combining library, park and gathering spaces, bringing expanded resources and programming to the city’s northeast side. HLP is supporting the project with the lightning protection system as construction continues moving forward.

IMAGINE all the natural light that will flood through these windows at Madison's newest library and park shelter. Designed to fit within the existing natural areas of Reindahl park and enhance the indoor/outdoor connection, The Imagination Center is set to open later this year.

Exciting to see progress continue at Ho-Chunk Gaming Beloit, with the project on track for a Fall 2026 opening. HLP is partnering with Morse Electric to install the lightning protection system for this major development as it takes shape in Beloit.

Ho-Chunk Nation leaders say construction on the Beloit casino and hotel project remains on track as the development moves closer to its planned 2026 opening.

Congratulations to Clayco and partners on the completion of Stead 220 in Fulton Market. It’s exciting to see continued growth in this neighborhood with projects that bring housing, retail and thoughtful design together.

Dramatic to watch, but the buildings are ready. The HLP systems are in place and doing their job.

Boom! After pummeling hail in the early evening, Chicago was treated to a spectacular light show over the skyline. Here’s my first big lightning shot of the season.

This is (only) a 2-frame composite. As best as I can tell, two large bolts with multiple major branches struck the eastern antenna mast of the Hancock. The two frames were taken five minutes apart.

Thanks to all the meteorologists who helped keep us informed on TV and social media. Incredible job and impeccable forecasting //
