After Helene hit in 2024, I believe most people were unprepared for what was to come. Even we didn’t know how much devastation we were going to see in the markets we serve. Below you will find a list of some of the things we wish we would have told people before the storm, so we are sharing with you before this weekend.
✅ Inspect your roof for loose or missing shingles
✅ Check flashing around chimneys, vents, and skylights
✅ Clear gutters and downspouts
✅ Trim branches hanging over your roof
✅ Secure outdoor furniture and loose items
✅ Know where your insurance information is
✅ Take photos of your roof and exterior before the storm for documentation
⚠️ Most importantly: If you suspect your roof has damage after the storm, don’t get on the roof yourself. Have a professional inspect it safely.
