A winter storm remains on track to impact Southeast Michigan Wednesday and Wednesday evening with the bulk of snowfall expected between 7 am and 10 pm. Peak of heaviest snowfall is expected between 10 am and 4 pm Wednesday. Total snowfall amounts across the warning are 6-8 inches with 3-6 inches for the Advisory. Locally higher amounts across the Thumb will be possible along the shorelines. Impacts and snowfall amounts during the morning commute are expected to remain relatively minor. Travel conditions will deteriorate considerably during the afternoon into the early commute. Expect hazardous travel, especially during the evening commute, with low visibility in heavier snowfall and snow covered roads. Plan ahead and give yourself extra travel time.
