Rhode Island’s in for a rough one tonight - high winds could gust 65+ mph, power outages are likely, and we’re expecting serious snowfall.

Reminder on the restrictions: commercial travel ban starts at 5PM, and the full travel ban begins at 7PM.

Quick reminders:
- Charge everything now (phones, battery packs, rechargeable lanterns/headlamps).
- Set out flashlights/headlamps in the main rooms before the lights go out.
- Skip candles if you can - use LED lanterns instead (safer around kids/pets).
- Outdoor solar lights? Bring them inside tonight - instant backup lighting.
- If you’re using a generator, keep it outside only and well away from doors/windows.

Stay warm, stay safe.
Zack

Looks like winter’s sticking around a little longer…thanks for the update, Punxsutawney Phil. 😅❄️

Power outages don’t wait for a convenient time.

A whole-house backup generator keeps your home running when the power goes out - so your heat stays on, your fridge keeps humming, your sump pump works, and your family stays safe and comfortable. No extension cords. No scrambling. No worrying about how long the outage will last.

The biggest mistake I see?
Waiting until a big storm is already on the horizon to start the process.

Generator installs take planning, permits, and proper electrical work - once outages start making headlines, everyone’s calling at the same time. Getting ahead of it now means peace of mind later.

If you’ve been saying, “We’ll look into it eventually,” consider this your friendly nudge from your local electrician. 😉

Reach out to Fletcher Electric to talk whole-house generator options. Let’s keep your home powered no matter what Mother Nature throws our way.

Milk. Bread. Milwaukee bag.
A New England electrician’s storm starter pack - complete. ❄️⚡
We’re ready for just about anything over here.

With heavy snow expected this weekend, I want folks to know I’m around if you need help. Power outages, storm-related electrical issues, or things that suddenly stop working when the weather turns - it happens.

If you lose power, notice burning smells, sparking, or anything that doesn’t feel right, don’t ignore it.

I’ll be available for emergency electrical service as conditions allow.

Stay warm, stay safe - enjoy the snow day if you can! Don’t hesitate to reach out.

If your home still has a fuse panel, you’re not alone - but it is a sign it’s time for an upgrade.

Fuse panels were typically installed in homes built before the 1960s - long before today’s appliances, home offices, and increased electrical loads. I see them often, and they’re one of the most common safety upgrades I recommend.

If this setup looks familiar, don’t wait for blown fuses or flickering lights. Let’s get you ready for life in 2026 ⚡️

Reach out and we can talk through your options!

Had a customer call me today and tell me my quote came in $3,000 less than another local electrical company.

The other guy showed up with an iPad and tried to sell them everything under the sun.

I don't show up with an iPad.
I show up with a pen and paper (if you're lucky).

You shouldn't be paying for fancy tech or sales tools - you should be paying for the work being done in your home.

No gimmicks.
No upselling.
Just honest work and quality craftmanship.

It's easy to look the part.
The real work is doing it right.

Between EV chargers, high-end appliances, and smart home tech, we are asking more from our electrical systems than ever before. But for many homeowners, the danger isn't just an overloaded circuit - it's the panel itself.

⚠️ SAFETY ALERT: If your home is equipped with a Federal Pacific or Challenger circuit panel, you may be at risk. These panels are now widely considered unsafe - and in many cases, non-compliant with modern safety codes - due to significant fire hazards and failure to trip during a surge.

At Fletcher Electric LLC, we specialize in "future-proofing" your home by replacing these hazardous units with reliable, high-capacity systems.

We’re here to help you power your lifestyle safely:
🚗 EV Charger Installs: Fast, dedicated home charging.
☀️ Generator Installs: Permanent backup power for total peace of mind.
⚡ Service Upgrades: Replacing outdated panels to handle modern electrical loads.

Don't wait for a flicker or a smell of smoke. Let’s make sure your home is safe and ready for the future! Contact us today: www.fletcherelectricllc.com
