The new addition to the collection: A 1974 GMC Motorhome. This one is a True classic. With over 13,000 of them made between the year of 1972 and 1978, around 8000 of these are still on the road today.

This one runs and drives. The previous owner claimed all plumbing and electrical works fine. On the drive back to Lincoln, I got the speed up to 88mph. The steering was so scary swaying right and left uncontrollably.

This thing is going to need a full suspension replacement right away. stay tuned!!!

This is a set up I did back in 2021.

In order to be self sustaining I chose the route of installing a 800 watt solar array and a battery isolator as a back up so the bus’s alternator can also charge it .

The capacity of the battery bank is approximately 600 amp hours. Plenty of power to stay off grid for days at a time with all of the homey electronics like an airfryer and fridge using the 24volt 5,000 watt inverter system.

Since the common automobile current runs on a 12volt system, I also installed a 24volt to 12volt step down converter as well.

This system is still running strong today!
