A pool is just the beginning. ⁣

The right landscaping is what helps turn it into an outdoor space that feels finished, inviting, and connected to its surroundings.⁣
⁣
For this completed pool landscape, we added layers of greenery, ornamental grasses and plantings around the perimeter to soften all of the hard surfaces without taking away from that incredible view.⁣
⁣
Because around a pool, every plant has a job.⁣
⁣
Add softness.⁣
Create movement.⁣
Bring in color and texture.⁣
Frame the view—not compete with it.⁣
⁣
The result is a landscape that complements the pool and makes the entire backyard feel like one cohesive outdoor living space!

Creating privacy doesn’t always have to mean building a wall. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Sometimes, a little strategic planting is all it takes.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
These upright evergreens were added along the fence line to create subtle privacy, softening the view without completely closing off the space.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
As they grow and fill in, they’ll provide even more screening while still keeping the area feeling open, intentional and connected to the surrounding landscape.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
That’s one of our favorite things about using plants for privacy: it doesn’t have to feel like a barrier.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
It can simply feel like part of the garden.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
🌿 Soften a fence line⁣⁣
🌿 Screen an unwanted view⁣⁣
🌿 Create separation between outdoor spaces⁣⁣
🌿 Add year-round color and structure⁣⁣

Sometimes, it’s the little things. And sometimes… it’s the whole wall.⁣
⁣
This retaining wall was failing, so our crew tore it out and rebuilt it properly, giving it a fresh start and the structure it needed.⁣
⁣
And when our crew chief proudly snapped the “finished” photo?⁣
⁣
He still had two caps left to install. ⁣
⁣
Hence the zoom-in!⁣
⁣
Those last two caps are on now, but honestly, we kind of love this photo because it shows something real: great work doesn’t magically appear finished. It happens one block, one cut, one detail…and apparently one forgotten photo opportunity, at a time. ⁣
⁣
We feel the back of the wall shown in the zoom-in is just as pretty!⁣
⁣
Rebuilt right. Finished right.⁣
⁣

One of the greatest compliments a client can give us is to call us back.⁣

We originally completed this landscape several years ago. This season, we returned to replace an ornamental tree.⁣
⁣
Before we left, our clients asked us to walk the property with them. They wanted to show us how everything had grown in, how much they were enjoying the landscape, and how happy they still were with the work.⁣
⁣
Those conversations mean more to us than we can put into words.⁣
⁣
Creating beautiful landscapes is what we do.⁣
⁣

I placed 2nd in the quarterfinals!

Thank you so much to those who supported me in some way during the Entrepreneur of Impact competition - whether you voted, shared posts, called & sent encouraging messages or simply followed along. Your support truly meant so much to me.

Although this journey has come to an end, I’m walking away incredibly grateful for the experience and proud of how I showed up throughout it. This journey has pushed me outside my comfort zone, challenged me to grow & reminded me how important it is to keep showing up.

I spend my days building beautiful outdoor spaces, but this experience has been about building something even bigger; confidence, connection, growth and stepping into new opportunities.

Tonight is the night that determines if I advance forward or not in the Entrepreneur of Impact competition.

I’m currently in 2nd place and need to make 1st place by 9 pm CST this evening to advance to the semifinals. If I don’t make 1st place, this will be the end of my journey.
